Jeffrey Barudin: News

A New Beginning - June 5, 2012

Hey everyone. Last month I was promoted to Assistant Professor of Music at Lindenwood University. The primary cause of this promotion was the school's interest in starting an instrumental music program on Lindenwood's Belleville campus. So starting this fall, along with the inaugural season of the Lindenwood Lynx football team, will be the start of the LU-Belleville Pep Band! I'm extremely excited about this opportunity, because I know that once we get the word out, there will be definite interest. I'll keep the calendar updated with games and performances. Hopefully you'll all have a chance to hear the pep band playing their hearts out this Fall!

I'm back! - May 21, 2011

I've been away from the site for a while, and now that I'm getting my professional career started, it's time to update the site! So new layout and TONS of new music - all of my dissertation recital repertoire are now ready for download. I'll be sure to keep my calendar and the news page updated, so please check back to find out what sort of great things I'll be up to. Enjoy!

New music online - May 1, 2008

I've posted audio links from my first recital as a doctoral student this March. It was a great success, despite some creative improvising on some of the pieces! Have a listen and let me know what you think!

One year down... - April 24, 2008

Just finished the first year of my doctoral work. It was weird learning how to be a student again! I actually had to work a lot harder than I ever have before, but I suppose they weren't going to just hand the doctorate to me...

So now I've got a nice long summer of working, teaching and practicing to look forward to. Bring on year two!

Back to A2! - April 14, 2007

After waiting until the last possible moment, I finally made my decision to return to the University of Michigan to get my doctorate in percussion performance. This is going to lead up to, hopefully, a college teaching job. Of course, this website will stay up, and I'll try to make some more timely updates in the future. Wish me luck!
